We are currently recruiting for a Material Planner based in Ashbourne.
Responsible for managing and controlling local inventory, it is the role of the Material Planner to ensure optimally efficient stocks of purchased items are made available when required to ensure delivery on time and in full to our customers.
You will be working as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of a specific group of raw materials, packaging, and straight sale items. Placing purchase orders with suppliers in a timely manner and following up accordingly, working closely with all stakeholders to acquire information and manage the current situation in order to maintain uninterrupted supply in accordance with department KPI's and in line with the needs of the business.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience gained by performing a similar planning role in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of supply chain management.
In order to be considered for the position you must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative, and be able to manage your time effectively.Well-developed computer skills are also essential with experience of using ERP systems an advantage.
